As most people know Phoenix home values have dropped drastically in the last few years. The unique thing about Sun Lakes, as well as most other retirement/golf communities in the Phoenix region, is that home values have held up fairly well considering what has happened to other Phoenix-area communities. The price decline Sun Lakes has seen puts values at approximately what they were 5 years ago and these prices appear to be holding steady. With that said it’s a pretty good moment in time to purchase a home in the Sun Lakes area, especially if you are financing given the existing state of interest rates.
